Kernel 4


Kernel 4 has been renamed to myWMS AS.

myWMS Version 4 will be founded onto the EJB3.0 framework. That is why its pseudonym is myWMS AS (AS for Application Server). Please refer to the javadoc(info) to get in touch with the java side of the new myWMS.

Preceeding myWMS AS (or Kernel 4), there has been developed a prototype incorporating several new world aspects. Please refer to the Evaluation page in this wiki for the targets and benefits of the prototype.

Preconditions

All logistical requirements are project specific. But to start development and/or to operate a small to medium warhouse, the following requirements should be met:

Required

  • 1.0 GByte memory
  • 1 GHz CPU
  • Java 1.5.x (best available version number)
  • Ant 1.6.2
  • 1.0 GByte (or more) memory
  • 2 GHz (or more) CPU
  • Netbeans 4.1

Operating System

myWMS works at operating system supporting Java 5.

This are at least:

  • Windows 2000/2003/XP/...
  • Linux (32 and 64 bit derivates)
  • zLinux (as soon as Java 1.5 becomes available)

Networking

myWMS make use of TCP/IP networking to connect the multiple clients to the kernels. myWMS clients are connecting the kernel(s) using the java specific distributed object architecture RMI.

Other peers also can use TCP/IP, SOA and JMS features of myWMS to communicate several types of information:

  • XML telegrams
  • Web-Services
  • binary coded telegrams
  • ASCII based telegrams
  • serialized java objects
