Timouts on Requests

Usually any request should be operated within a specific amount of time. Requests should have their own timeout parameter, after which the request should be escalated to an operator, which then could start to handle the problematic request.

Unit Load Labels

There should be a method printing new Label-IDs by the Control-Center. There is no need to book the new generated labels into the system, because a new UnitLoad will be registered whenever it occurs the first time.

However, printing new unique labels could be a nice feature.

Log-Objects

For the application server version of myWMS there should be a LogObject storing logistical information into the database.

Configuration

In the application server version of myWMS singletons are not allowed any more. To integrate plug-ins, a configuration service should be integrated, storing configurations into the database (like it already was stored in K3). In addition a plug-in factory using this configuration should be implemented.

Whenever a plug-in is about to be called, the factory will be queried, looking up the current configuration, instantiating and returning the apropriate plug-in.

Another session bean could be used instead of instantiating each plugin class. The lookup then could use the naming service.
